This STERLING SILVER SIMONS BROS. THIMBLE has ORNATE CHASED SCROLLS on the BAND and RIM. ENGRAVED on the cartouche, in script, "SIAM 15-7-12" for July 7, 1912. Stamped on the cartouche with the size, "9", and "STERLING". Inside the top is the SIMONS BROS. TRADE MARK. Shown in THIMBLE COLLECTOR'S ENCYCLOPEDIA, by John J. von Hoelle, page 193, plate 1034. The inside diameter, at the OVAL OPENING, is 14.9-15.7 cm (.59-.62 inches). Fits like a size 8. Oval with no holes, dents, or creases, and minimal scratches.
